Friend Of Mine

Welcome to Friend Of Mine, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Bridge of Allan, Stirling. Located at 45 Henderson St, this vibrant restaurant has quickly become a local favorite, known for its innovative dishes, warm hospitality, and a lively atmosphere that is simply irresistible. From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed by a friendly team dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences.

The menu at Friend Of Mine is a delightful fusion of flavors, featuring tantalizing options such as:

  • Baos: Indulge in the Tamarind Pork Belly or Mongolian Chicken for a robust flavor explosion, or opt for the Beetroot Char Sui Tofu for a vegetarian twist.
  • Small Plates: Perfect for sharing, these include Beetroot Feta Waffle, Korean Fried Chicken Wings, and Halloumi Fries that will leave you wanting more.

As I savored my meal here, I was particularly impressed by the cooking fervor that shone through each dish. The Beetroot Feta Waffle was a revelation—a beautiful blend of savory and sweet that danced on my palate. The warm, fluffy waffle was perfectly complemented by the robust feta, creating a dish that's both comforting and exciting.

Another standout was the Coconut Prawn Skewers. The prawns were tender, with just the right amount of char that lent a delightful smokiness, paired with a refreshing dip that elevated the entire experience. Whether you’re a connoisseur or just looking for a delicious meal, the flavors here do not disappoint.

Friend Of Mine doesn't just stop at incredible food. Their cocktail menu is equally impressive. Having sampled their whiskies, like the Bruichladdich and Fraiser's Whisky Liqueur, I found them to enhance the experience splendidly, with each sip echoing the passion behind the bar.

The atmosphere is a lively buzz where laughter and chatter mingle blissfully. Patrons seem to return time and again, as reflected in customer reviews praising the thoughtful service and the cozy ambiance. Jane McMillan, celebrating a family milestone, noted how the staff went above and beyond, decorating their table with beautiful balloons. This kind of attentiveness renders every meal here not just an outing, but a special occasion.

As you stroll through Bridge of Allan, make sure to stop at Friend Of Mine. Whether seeking brunch or lunch, this café offers a memorable culinary journey that resonates well beyond a simple meal. Don’t take my word for it—visit, indulge, and discover why so many sing its praises. It's more than just a café; it’s a perfect balance of flavor, atmosphere, and community spirit, making it a true friend of mine.

We had a really lovely lunch at Friend of Mine to celebrate our daughter’s 21st. Freshly-prepared, tasty food, excellent cocktails and friendly, efficient service. Staff had very kindly decorated our table with beautiful balloons for the occasion and we all really appreciated their thoughtfulness. This restaurant was initially recommended to me by a ‘friend of mine’ and people were queuing for tables yesterday - easy to see why.

Had my graduation in Stirling and couldn’t go and sit for lunch at a better place. I haven’t experienced such great service and food in ages! Delicious food, friendly staff who would go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I can’t recommend this place enough! Will definitely return when in Stirling.

We walked here from a caravan park where we were staying in our motorhome after a trip to The Highlands. Great little town with an eclectic village vibe. We were a bit early for eating at the pub so we sat at the outside tables here which was already very busy at 11.30!! Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the food offerings. They do brunch but we ordered off the main menu. Great and different choices for vegetarians. We had a lovely hour here and would certainly return when in the area.

Really enjoyed our visit to Friend of Mine that had a great menu with lots to choose from. Chose the salmon Benedict and the taste and flavours were great. Hot roast salmon with beautiful poached eggs - shall be back. Also had the breakfast bap which is more than a handful. There is passion in the kitchen and it shows. Good service and a busy place which shows that everyone appreciates the quality being offered.
